Cork v Wexford Football Result

Cork went away today to take on Wexford at a wind swept Wexford Park, Cork won the toss and and elected to play with the wind , Wexford contained Cork reasonable well playing against the wind ,and they went in at half time with a scoreline of 0 – 7 to 0 – 3 in Cork’s favour. Nicolas Murphy was introduced to the Cork team after the break and he had an immediate impression on proceedings, helping Cork add on 4 points without reply, Cork then went another 30 minutes ithout scoring before Ciaran Sheehan scored in time added on, Wexford failed miserably with the wind advantage and had only a Matty Forde free to show for their second half efforts . Cork’s half back line secured the advantage aided by big performance from John Miskella which was on par with his best performances last year , he chipped in with the point of the match, Nicolas Murphy can be well pleased with his return and Paddy Kelly’s free taking was honourable on the day that was .Final Score Cork 0-12 Wexford 0-05.

I thought cork were awsome at times last sunday,its a pity they can’t play for 70 minutes
