Killavullen captures the Junior B Hurling Championship title   16/07/2017

In tonight's County Junior B Hurling Championship Final Killavullen appearing in their third final captured the title for the first time with a 2-14 to 1-8 victory over Whites Cross who were appearing in their second final. Killavullen began the game in a strong fashion establishing a 5 point after 15 mins on a score of 1-3 to 0-1. Killavullen continued to build on their lead throughout the second quarter to lead at the short whistle on a score of 1-9 to 0-3. White's Cross began the second half in a determine fashion scoring a goal and point to reduce the lead to 5 points but by the 40th min Killavullen had reestablished their lead back up to 8 points on a score of 2-11 to 1-6. From the 40th minute until the end it was basically score for score resulting in Killavullen winning on a score of 2-14 to 1-8. The Junior B Hurling Championship Cup was presented to Killavullen captain Pa Sheehan by County Board vice-chairperson Tracey Kennedy.
