Biography

Occupation: Accountant. Schools/College Attended: Glanmire Community College/ University of Limerick. He first started playing hurling with Erins Own Under 8 – running from car to pitch with helmet already on. Biggest influence on his hurling career are his parents and godmother Mary O’Leary. The sporting event he would most like to attend is the RWC Final 2019 in Japan – Ireland winning. To date his favourite moment in sport is Erins Own winning the County in 06 & 07. Favourite Venue: Pairc Ui Rinn - atmosphere when full is electric. Favourite G.A.A. player: Shane Murprhy. He think is the most important skill in hurling? First touch. What sportsperson would you most like to meet? Zlatan The hardest part of his sporting life is eating correct foods at correct times and balancing training workload and recovery with a busy work life. Toughest player to mark in training is Alan Cadogan. The ‘jokers’ on the panel are Conor Lehane & Cormac Murphy If he won the lotto the first thing he would buy is a plane ticket to Vegas. Favourite holiday destination: Thailand/ Las Vegas. Favourite Food: Fitzpatricks Roll’s. Favourite Drink: Coffee. Favourite Music: Literally anything – mood dependent. My Spotify is varied!. Favourite Film: The Jungle Book. In ten years time he hope to be: Healthy and maybe knocking around Junior B with the lads. One thing you may not know about hum……he never played Cork Minor or Cork U-21.
